Out on the trail

Leslie has been a horse lover all her life, but came into ownership late in life. She received an email from the ASPCA, about foals in Canada, out of PMU programs, that were up for adoption. She wound up with four, arranged through a non profit rescue, “The Animali Farm,” out of California. That was the beginning of getting involved with rescue.

Since then, she has taken in owner surrenders, and horses out of the sale barns that had run out of options. She became a student of Parelli Natural Horsemanship, and has used the principals of, “Love, Language, and Leadership,” in working with all of the horses.

She plans on developing a program with the horses to foster leadership with emotionally challenged people, and healing for veterans.
